Corollary 16.9.8.255A623EA393 Suppose that $\varphi ,\psi ,\eta \in \mathrm{PSH}(X,\theta )$ and $\varphi \preceq _ P\psi \preceq _ P \eta $. Then

\[ d_ S(\varphi ,\eta )\geq d_ S(\varphi ,\psi ),\quad d_ S(\varphi ,\eta )\geq d_ S(\psi ,\eta ). \]

Proof. This is an immediate consequence of 16.9.7 and the monotonicity theorem proposition 16.8.22. $\square$
